The use of special tools or equipment is required to replace the front struts.

When you remove the strut complete from the vehicle you will see.

The coil spring is compressed by the top strut mount so extra care is needed in dismantling the strut.

Do not remove the top strut mount without adequate compression of the coil spring with the right equipment

If unsure get your local workshop or garage to replace the springs.
