The AmScope M162C-2L-PM10 is a versatile dual-light microscope designed for children and home use. It allows you to view both slides and solid objects using top and bottom LED illumination, making it ideal for exploring plants, insects, and basic biological samples.
With magnification from 40x to 1000x, it provides a practical introduction to microscopy while remaining easy to use. The simple stage and dual lighting system make it suitable for beginners learning to observe slides and everyday objects at higher detail.
Powered via a USB cable and 5V adapter, it offers reliable plug-in operation without the need for batteries.
This versatile, dual-light microscope functions as both a high-powered, transmitted-light monocular microscope for viewing microscopic specimens, as well as a low-powered, reflected-light microscope for viewing larger objects, such as leaves and bugs.
The lower light can be employed for incredibly high-detail viewing of ultra-small, translucent specimens like cells, or even the vascular systems of thin leaves. And for more-opaque objects, like stamps, sand, or insects, the upper light provides reflected illumination.
In all, the microscope offers five magnification settings: 40X, 100X, 250X, 400X, and 1000X.
A 10pc slide kit is included, with five biological specimens and five blank slides, to give the user a head start.
Designed for students to learn science for years of continued observations, it has full optical glass elements, metal framework, two eyepieces (10X and 25X), 360 degree rotatable monocular head, and coarse & fine focusing.
The light sources use either an outlet (adapter included) or three AA batteries (included). This microscope is perfect for home hobbyist, academics in home school for students in elementary to high school.
