SHALLOTS - French Red

French Red shallots - culinary or planting. Planting stock for sale now - ideally plant in May or June for best results. Like garlic, one shallot bulb will yield 4-7 new shallots by Christmas time. Use our Guano and Bulb Blend , or basically follow our garlic planting instructions, but only bury the shallot bulb half to 2/3 in soil, roots down, leaving the tip poking out. Space 100-150mm apart. Harvest ,dry and store as you would garlic. Price is per bulb of 25-35mm size.
