Arenaria montana

or Mountain Sandwort, is a low growing perennial forming dense, compact mounds of grey green foliage. From summer through early autumn, it produces abundant, bright white star shaped flowers that create striking contrast in borders, rockeries or alpine gardens.

Prefers moist, well drained soil and benefits from compost added at planting to encourage healthy growth. Thrives in full sun, is hardy once established and evergreen, making it an excellent, low maintenance groundcover that provides year round structure and seasonal floral interest.
