Thymus serpyllum
A low-growing, spreading groundcover that forms extremely dense mats of fine, aromatic foliage. During summer, the foliage becomes covered in masses of small white flowers, creating a soft carpet effect that attracts bees and other beneficial pollinators.
Ideal for rockeries, borders, between paving stones and dry garden areas, it thrives in full sun and free-draining soil. Drought tolerant once established and requiring very little maintenance, it is an excellent choice for adding year-round texture and seasonal colour.
Hardy and evergreen.
