Olearia pachyphylla

a hardy New Zealand native shrub. It features large, thick, broadly oval leaves with softly wavy edges and a fine layer of silvery to brownish tomentum on the undersides, creating strong texture and contrast.

Naturally found on coastal cliffs and steep banks in open scrub, particularly in the Bay of Plenty, it is well adapted to exposed conditions. Excellent drainage is essential for healthy growth. Suited to coastal gardens, banks and challenging sites. Evergreen and hardy, providing bold foliage and year-round structure.
