Rhodohypoxis Kiwi Red
a vibrant, easy care bulbous perennial that produces neat tufts of grass like foliage in summer and a spectacular display of double deep pink to red-toned flowers in spring. Despite the name, the blooms often appear more vivid pink than true red, making it a bold and eye-catching choice for pots, rockeries or sunny borders.
Originally derived from South African species but selected and cultivated in New Zealand, bred for performance and colour in local conditions. It thrives in full sun and free-draining soil and is particularly well suited to containers or raised beds where drainage can be controlled.
Regular deadheading helps extend the flowering season. Avoid overly wet conditions in winter to prevent bulb rot.
