Daphne bholua
An upright shrub with long, narrow foliage and a refined, architectural form. It is highly prized for its dense clusters of sweetly fragrant pale pink flowers, which appear from late autumn through to spring, bringing exceptional winter interest to the garden.
Best suited to a sheltered, dry, shaded position with free-draining soil, where it performs reliably once established. Its powerful fragrance makes it ideal near paths, entrances or outdoor living areas where the scent can be enjoyed.
Hardy and semi-evergreen, it may shed some foliage in colder conditions but retains strong structure year-round.
