Kniphofia Red

or Red Hot Poker, is a clump-forming evergreen perennial with upright, strap-like foliage and tall flower spikes of intense red-orange tubular blooms held above the leaves.

Flowering occurs through the warmer months, with nectar-rich flowers attracting birds. Suited to borders and mass plantings, it grows best in full sun and free-draining soil and tolerates dry conditions once established.
