Echinodorus 'Rose Sword'

Echinodorus ' Rosé' is a cultivated hybrid between Echinodorus horemanii ' Red' and Echinodorus horizontalis , developed in 1986 by Hans Barth in Dessau, Germany. This plant is renowned for its broad, oblong leaves that emerge in shades of pink to bronze- red, transitioning to deep green as they mature. The vibrant coloration and robust growth make it a standout choice for aquascapers seeking a dynamic centerpiece.

Growing to heights of 25– 40 cm with a rosette spanning 15– 25 cm, Echinodorus ' Rosé' thrives in nutrient- rich substrates and benefits from moderate to high lighting. While CO₂ supplementation is not mandatory, it can enhance growth and coloration. The plant's adaptability and moderate growth rate make it suitable for both novice and experienced aquarists.
