Pink and White Terraces

 

In our opinion the best washed rind cheese made in New Zealand. The from cheesemakers Joanie and Richard Williams of Hawkes Bay utilises milk from a single farm in the Hawkes Bay. The cheese exhibits farmyard, savoury and earthy notes which get punchier with age. The texture of this cheese is delectable. Soft, creamy and gooey. The cheese gives shades of the classic French washed rind Epoisses.

Pair with:

A quince, pear or apple butter will bring a nice balance to the cheese flavours

Wine / Beer match:

Try with a Chenin Blanc, Pinot Blanc or Gamay Noir to bring a slight sweetness to the earthy, farmyard notes
