Nicholas Duval-Smith - Liberty Fragment

Nicholas Duval-Smith is a sculptor whose creative practice offers opportunities to relax and play with sculpture that moves and lasts. Nicholas was born and educated in Ōtepoti (Dunedin) and now works from his studio 'Frost and Fire' in Whakatū (Nelson).

Liberty Fragment is the most recent in a strand of work that spans more than two decades. It was formed from a part of the original of the hanging bell in Wake-up Call (a vibration from within), and it’s title also refers to the American Liberty Bell, famously cracked.

This work is a limited edition of 10, 2/10, with one artist’s proof.
