Watermelon Peperomia
Peperomia argyreia also known as the , is the most desired of the Peperomia family. It has stunning white and green striped leaves that resemble little watermelons, hence where their name came from. It will grow in an upward stature to approx. 30cm in height. Its perfect leaf design lends itself to be a semi-succulent variety.
Please note; size of plant may vary during season due to availability. Will mature into impressive house plant in the right conditions.
Light: Medium to bright, indirect light. Ensure enough light to retain pattern but avoid direct sunlight or the colours and patterns will fade.
Temp: Prefers to be kept in warmer temperatures, and keep away from draughts.
Water: Water from dry only. Leaf loss is a sign of over-watering. As it retains water within its thick leaves this reduces the frequency it requires watering.
Feed: Is only required once a month, through its growing season.
Soil: Use a peat-based soil. Allow soil to dry out between waterings. Allow to drain.
Tips: F or a bushier plant pinch tips through spring and summer months to encourage additional shoots to form.
