Rhipsalis "Coral Cactus"

Rhipsalis cereuscula or more commonly called the Coral Cactus or Mistletoe Cactus, although called a cactus, it is an evergreen and epiphytic succulent. Rhipsalis' scientific name is derived from the Ancient Greek word for "wickerwork," referencing the plant's form. It has cool looking clusters of light green stems sticking out called tendrils which also flower!

Light: R hipsalis prefers bright, indirect light and can tolerate direct morning and evening light.

Temp: “Coral Cactus" is not cold hardy, so if you live in a zone that gets colder than 30° F (-1.1° C), it’s best to plant this succulent in a container that can be brought indoors. It enjoys a more humid atmosphere than most cacti.

Water: Whenever the soil becomes dry. They prefer lightly moist, but not wet soil, but ensure they have ample time to dry out to avoid water buildup in the soil that can rot the roots.

Feed: Every month during growing season (Spring-Autumn)

TIP: Rhipsalis will let you know when it’s thirsty because its tendrils will start to pucker and lose rigidity.
