The toki (adze) is far more than a carving tool; it is a symbol of unwavering determination and mastery. Its blade demanded precision, strength, and respect; qualities that transformed it into a symbol of power and leadership often worn as a pendant by chiefs and elders. Today, it serves as a talisman, inspiring the wearer to face life's challenges with the same resilience and skill as the ancestors who wielded it.
The Koru, shaped like an unfurling fern frond, embodies new life, growth, and infinite possibilities. Its gentle spiral carries a deep sense of peace and spiritual harmony, reflecting nature's perfect balance. The Koru is often carved with interwoven fronds, representing the bonds of family, friendship, and love.
The sacred stone of Aotearoa. Pounamu of this beautiful land encompasses nephrite jade, serpentine, and tangiwai (bowenite). To the Māori of New Zealand, Pounamu (greenstone) is more than just a stone, it is a taonga (treasure) woven into the spiritual and cultural fabric of their ancestors. Revered as a gift from the gods, it carries the mana (prestige) of the land and the strength of the rivers.
When worn close to the skin it absorbs your wairua (spirit); over time its lustre deepens along with the bond between wearer and stone. Pounamu is a gift from the heart and as such should be worn of displayed with respect and pride.
Comes with an adjustable cord and Jute drawstring bag.
