While Wahl recommends this clipper for most coat types, we've found it can struggle with very thick, matted, or mixed-texture coats. For that reason, we don't recommend this clipper for Poodles, Oodles, Bichons, or other dogs with similar coats, including matted or mixed-breed dogs.
