And the best part? It uses something you already have: a plastic bottle. Just screw the Wasp Trap Cap onto the top, fill with your bait, and hang it up. When it’s full (and it will get gross), simply unscrew the trap, pop the bottle’s original cap back on, and throw the whole thing away. No mess. No cleanup. No chemicals. Mix your bait
Fill any plastic bottle with cheap beer 330 ml and 3 teaspoons of sugar.
No need to get scientific — the wasps aren’t chemists.
Eyeballing it works fine, or use the handy little measuring scoop.
And please… don’t waste the good beer on this.
(OR) Buy some bait from stores like Mitre 10 and Bunnings.

Attach the trap
Screw the Wasp Cap Trap onto the top of the bottle. It fits standard soft-drink bottles perfectly.

Hang it up
Thread a cord through the built-in hanging slot and pop it up wherever you need it—fruit trees, gardens, patios, decks.
Around 150 cm high is ideal… but honestly, don’t overthink it. It works.

Install in the evening
Wasps are far less active at night, which means it’s safer and easier for you to set up.

Repeat as needed
Use as many traps as your space requires.
