Scalpel Blade

These scalpel blades are perfect for taking cuttings off plants. This is a replacement blade for our disposable scalpels.

Ensure a clean cut is taken at a 45o angle and that some of the exterior bark is cut away to ensure more of the membrane that the roots grow from is exposed.

Scalpel blades should always be kept sterile so do not use a single blade for more than one session of cuttings. This is to reduce infection in plants from taking several cuttings over time without re-sterilising the blade.

These blades are medical grade and need to be treated with caution as they can easily cause injury.
