Bruce was just a normal New Zealand boy who dreamed about going faster. He went on to become one of the world’s best drivers and car designers, and had almost unparalleled success with his own team.

As a result, the name McLaren has not only left a permanent impression on New Zealand and world motorsport history, it is also one of the most successful, well recognised and longstanding motorsport teams in the world.

Bruce McLaren had many personality traits that helped him achieve his dream and by analysing them we can all follow our own dreams and be ordinary Kiwis who do extraordinary things.
