Yellow Lab

The one of the most popular and peaceful Mbuna cichlids from Lake Malawi, admired for its brilliant, solid yellow coloration and contrasting black-tipped fins. Its hardy nature and relatively calm temperament make it an excellent choice for both beginners and seasoned cichlid keepers. A standout addition to any African cichlid aquarium.

Tank Size: Minimum 40–55 gallons

Diet: Omnivore – Accepts pellets, flakes, and veggie matter (avoid high-protein foods)

Temperament: Peaceful to semi-aggressive (less aggressive than most Mbuna)

Compatibility: Great with other peaceful to moderately aggressive Mbuna
