SUBSTRATUM - Toi Ngapuhi

The water colour base of this piece was created using pigment collected from an exposed soil profile along the coast of Te Whau. Layered on top of this is foraged ink illustrations. The pairing of the two explore the whakapapa of the wāhi. RINGATOI/ARTIST: Mōrehu Ronald HAPŪ: Te Rarawa, Te Aupō
