Size B plants can be expected to reach flowering size in 2-2.5 years; Size B plants in 18-24 months; Size C plants in 6-18 months (depending on the flowering season and time of purchase). Size E plants are the same size as Size C and include a flower spike that is from 1cm tall (will produce a first blooming stem with 1-4 blooms). Phalaenopsis are possibly the most popular orchid available for inside growing, with their spectacular spike of long-lasting, showy blooms. Originating from India, through southeast Asia, north to the Philippines and south to northern Australia; they therefore like a well-lit, warm position. Keep them indoors all year round in a well ventilated area, but away from direct sunlight, cold drafts and windows - where temperature changes are extreme.
