Saara Beanie Pattern

This is a delight to knit! Such a great way to use odd colours or scraps of Mohair Silk and you will love the clever design as I did. The pattern is by Saara Autere of Finland (Autereknits.com).

I knitted the largest size which I have found to be a good fit and I've used 8 different colours of Mohair silk. I had 8 full balls of 25g/210m mohair silk in Rowan and Kremke so I will be able to knit another beanie from what is leftover.

You knit the beanie using 5 strands for about two thirds of it and then change to 6 strands for the head and crown shaping. You could definitely use less colours (4 or more) and then you could just double one or two colours for the extra strand.
