Our plump, refreshing heirloom tomatoes are finally ripe and ready to chop into your favourite salad, slice onto fresh bread or pulse into a sweet and rich marinara sauce.

They pair wonderfully with many other greens and herbs we have to offer during this season. Try a fresh plate of sliced tomatoes and mozzarella with olive oil, basil and S&P for the perfect table center.

Many heirloom tomatoes are sweeter and lack a genetic mutation that gives tomatoes a uniform red color at the cost of the fruit's taste. Often this can mean we can anticipate a range of colors, shapes, flavors and sizes which means we encounter more flavour and diversity in our dishes, visually and palatably.
