Pink Blend

Untitled

Untitled inspired by the textural freshness, complexity and varietal blending of the pink wines from Provence in Southern France.

This is a New Zealand pink wine made from seven different grape varieties — five red and two white. In order of dominance, they are Syrah, Pinot Noir, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Arneis, Albariño and Pinotage.

What does Untitled taste like?

Untitled bright pink, fresh and dry, with attractive peach, strawberry and spice flavours.

It is full-bodied, crisp and strong, with a touch of tannin and enough texture to make it more interesting than a simple poolside rosé.

The idea behind the blend

This wine is not just about colour and dryness. It is about the freshness, texture and complexity that can come from blending different grape varieties into one characterful pink wine.

It is a good choice for anyone looking for a distinctive New Zealand pink wine that is fresh, versatile and a little bit different from the usual bottle of rosé.

Review

4 Stars – Michael Cooper

From Untitled Wines, based in West Auckland, the characterful wine on the market in late 2021 (4 ) is not labelled by vintage, regions or varieties. Bright pink, it is full-bodied, with attractive peach, strawberry and spice flavours, fresh, dry, crisp and strong, and a touch of tannin. A good buy.

Food match

Untitled a versatile pink wine for seafood, salmon, roast chicken, pork, charcuterie, pizza, summer salads, mildly spicy dishes and sunny afternoon drinking.
