Man O' War Estate Chardonnay Waiheke Island 2020

Man O' War vineyards are scattered over selected hillside sites on the South Eastern end of on Waiheke Island. The Chardonnay vines are planted primarily on exposed volcanic hilltops to receive the benefits of cooling sea breezes, preventing disease and extending their growing season to infuse the grapes with the maximum amount of flavour. Their positioning is generally precipitous and dramatic; as a result, the wines have unique flavours, minerality and a touch of drama. Each small parcel of vines is carefully tended and harvested by hand, then vinified separately before a careful selection is made for the final blending. Classic Old World practices with pristine New World handling.
