Nevis Bluff Central Otaga Pinot Blanc 2023

 

Hand selected and hand picked 28th March 2023. Whole bunch pressed to stainless steel tank. Racked to stainless steel tank with 50% of volume with lees racked to old French barrique 50%. Indigenous yeast fermentation. Fermentation took approx 6 weeks at 14 22 degrees celcius. After 3 months the tank and barrels were racked to a stainless steel tank and rested on lees for 2 months. No malolactic undertaken. The wine was then clarified and filtered for brightness and balance.

Spicy pink grapefruit, honey blossom, orange capsicum and schist dominate the aromatics. On the palate the wine shows more bright citrus flavours with an elegant textural thread giving poise, depth and tension
