Marsden Jade Lashed Toki Wayne Costar Jade Carver

The toki/chisel is seen as a tool to help cut through the complications of life.

This jade toki (adze) pendant is carved from a lovely dark green New Zealand jade from the Marsden area of the west coast of the south Is.

This came from a block I was given ages ago and I only recently slabbed it up. Nice stone I have used most of it already.

It has a traditional lashing connecting the carving to the cord which is adjustable.

This pendant is 8cm high x 2.4cm wide.

The cord has sliding knots making it adjustable to suit the wearer.
