Citremon (Citrus trifoliata x limon) is a Citrus hybrid between a trifoliata and a lemon. It was bred in the early 20th century and there are a few forms around.

As a rootstock, citremon has been used as a lemon rootstock in California, where it performs very well. It is vigorous and resistant to most Citrus diseases while being compatible with lemons.

Citremon is regarded as being the best truly cold tolerant lemon, being able to handle approximately -15 Celsius. The juice makes a good lemonade when sweetened, and so this would be an ideal lemon option for people in the coldest parts of New Zealand.
