Ardnamurchan Madeira Cask Highland Single Malt 52% 700ml - 2025 Release

The latest limited edition from the Ardnamurchan distillery has just arrived with their new Madeira cask expression. These rare fortified wine casks have imparted a lush fruity character, with dense notes of toffee apple, stewed plums and red currants. The wood also brings about a fragrant spicyness, leading with sea-salted chocolate, cinnamon and sandalwood. A touch of oily rosemary and pine needles comes through in the finish, which is dusty and drying. In name and in style, this Ardnamurchan is quite a mouthfull!

Nose: Cocoa powder, stewed plums, sugared almonds, nutmeg, sandalwood, bracken, fruit scone, and red currants.

Palate: Cinnamon sweets, cedar bark, salted trail mix with chocolate chips, rosemary stalks, toffee apples, pine needles, and strawberries with black pepper. Finish: Medium weight, dusty, long, and slightly drying ABV: 52%
