Friday Slipover
The one of those pieces that becomes an instant favourite — simple, wearable, and surprisingly fun to knit. It’s worked top-down in a beautifully textured broken rib, starting with the back yoke, then moving through the shoulders, the front yoke, and finally the body. Clean ribbing frames the neckline and armholes for a polished finish.
Because broken rib relaxes after washing and wearing, this is definitely a “block your swatch" project. Pre-wash gauge sits around 24–25 sts per 10 cm, but will settle to the required 22 sts over 10 cm once your fabric blooms.
And yes — this design is absolutely perfect for scrap yarn. If you love a stripe moment or want to blend leftover yarns into something beautiful, this slipover is a brilliant canvas. Work subtle tonal shifts by changing just your halo strand, or go bold by swapping both fibres. It's a fantastic way to use what you already have while still ending up with a beautifully finished piece. Sizes
