Hihi Syrah/Malbec

Earthy, expressive and made for the table, HiHi Syrah / Malbec is a beautifully balanced Gisborne red that brings together structure, fruit and savoury depth. Aromas of ripe cherry and subtle earthiness lead into a smooth palate, where dark fruit flavours are supported by fine tannins and a dry, food-friendly finish.

Sourced from a long-established vineyard in Manutuke, both Syrah and Malbec were harvested in excellent condition and at optimal ripeness. Fermented in open-top stainless steel vats to build colour and character, the wines were then pressed into seasoned French oak barrels to mature before blending — resulting in a harmonious mix of 80% Syrah and 20% Malbec.

The result is a medium-bodied red with quiet complexity and versatility — equally enjoyable on its own or alongside a meal.

Perfect with grilled meats, slow-cooked dishes, roasted vegetables or classic comfort food.
