The Story

Made in Mangawhai, Northland, by a boutique family-owned vineyard, this Syrah reflects a very particular slice of New Zealand. The vines sit on an ancient floodplain, sheltered by the Brynderwyn ranges and cooled by sea breezes from Mangawhai’s coastal landscape.
That combination gives the wine its charm: ripe dark fruit, but not heaviness; savoury spice, but not harshness; smooth tannin, but enough structure to feel satisfying.
The name La Familia is no throwaway label either. This wine was made as a family tribute, and you can feel that warmth in the glass. It is generous, personal and unforced - the kind of wine that does not need medals or noise to make its point.
