Organic from 40-70 year old vines. Blend of local varities from Valencia - Mandó and Arcos.
"Delicate, fresh and highly drinkable, with notes of violets and blackberries."
- Jancis Robinson MW
"The 2024 Vermell has as subtle reduction that makes it more serious, but it's still juicy, fresh and fine-boned. This changed a lot when they stopped using Garnacha Tintorera in the blend; it's now 70% Mandó and 30% Arcos, with 13% alcohol, a pH of 3.4 and 5.25 grams of acidity. This is more serious, rounder than the 2023, with a different profile, a little more structured, which shows a little the character of the year. The wine has grown up. And it's a bargain. 40,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in May 2025."

Celler del Roure is farmed manually and are certified organic. Harvesting is done entirely by hand, and the grapes are placed in small crates to be transported to the cellar. Vine age ranges from 15 to 70 years old, and the soils are various clays – ranging from fine alluvial and loamy soils to rockier limestone terroirs. Increasingly, he uses more and more whole clusters in the fermentation, which are all spontaneous and start in stainless steel tanks or stone lagars before racking into French oak and amphorae. The results are wines with an insinuating and persistent sense of place with fruit and savory elements in perfect balance – whether aged in French oak barrels and foudres or amphorae.
