Malabrigo Mechita Merino 4ply Fingering Hand Dyed Yarn
Mechita is a single-spun ply that glides right off the needles. Made in Peru, Mechita is perfect for just about any project from accessories to garments. And since it’s machine-washable, it’s a great choice for baby and children’s garments. Mechita has the "speckles" range which is very popular in faded gradients as well as ideal in blending with other yarns for interesting fabrics.
Fibre: 100% Superwash Merino Wool
Texture: Single Spun
Weight: Fingering / 4ply
Metreage: 384 metres per 100 gram skein
Gauge: 26 to 30 stitches over a 10cm swatch or as pattern suggests.
Recommended Needles: 2.25mm - 2.75mm or as pattern suggests.

Dyelot Batches: Like all Malabrigo yarns, Mechita is kettle-dyed in small batches of 5 skeins by artisan dyers and is full of subtle variation and beauty. We suggest buying enough in the same dyelot batch to complete your project as skeins may vary from bag to bag hence the separate dyelot listings. To ensure random color distribution, work from two balls of yarn at once, alternating a few rows from each ball.
Colours: The images shown are taken from our own store, but some colour variation may still apply. All cameras and computer monitors show the colours slightly differently, especially blues and reds.
