Akatore Rhodonite Niho Mako Pendant Woven Stone Jade

A stone demonstrating a wide range of pink, purple and earth tones, rhodonite is found in a few places along New Zealand's West Coast, including the Arahura and Hokitika Rivers. This material was found in Akatore near Dunedin, and demonstrates complex patterning and a broad and earthy colour palette. With a base of soft pink accented by a mix of earth-brown and black patching, it's definitely a piece to catch the eye. Measuring in at 60mm long and 40mm wide, this pendant runs from a thick upper edge at the top of the tooth-form down to a slender point - a form that creates a robust yet relatively lightweight pendant. Though seemingly quite large, this weight reduction makes it suitable for even smaller wearers. Its soft tones make it perfect for everyday wear.
