press the "UP" button and the pump puts out hydraulic fluid at pressure.
no button pressed, the valve stays closed, no hydraulic fluid goes in or out, and the attached hydraulic cylinder stays where it is at.
press "DOWN" button, and the controller opens the return valve. On a dump trailer the weight of the box compresses the hydraulic cylinder and pushes the hydraulic oil back into the tank.
