Small Pounamu Toki Pendant

This pounamu necklace is an exquisite piece of traditional Māori jewellery, crafted from pounamu (greenstone).

The Adze or Toki design symbolises strength, reflecting the traditional Māori tool known for its resilience and durability, which had to be tough enough to withstand heavy use without breaking.

The pendant is strung on a braided black wax cord, with adjustable sliding knots to personalise the length. Each necklace is individually carved, so slight variations may occur, giving each piece its own unique character. It comes supplied loose in a plastic sleeve.
