This is a stunning Official Souvenir Programme full of spectacular illustrations of a diverse set of iconic aircraft of the day that participated in the great race!

Six nations entered 18 different aircraft including jets, bombers, turbo prop airliners. leaving London on 8 October 1953. The eventual winner.. the Royal Air Force (RAF) in an English Electric Canberra PR3. Piloted by Flight Lieutenant Roland "Monty" Burton and navigator Flight Lieutenant Don Gannon, the jet completed the 18,977 km journey in 23 hours and 51 minutes, setting a record.
