Rare Kingsford-Smith memorabilia from his historic crossing to NZ

Here we have quite a treasure! Three original black and white photographs (2 mounted on a dated card, one loose). All from the famous 1928 Kingsford-Smith Trans-Tasman flight and subsequent tour. Together with a blog article from 2018 describing the events in detail.

This is an important and interesting addition to any specialist collection, supported by provenance of hand written dates and names to the card mount and rear of one photo. It appears the mounted photo set was in fact a Christmas gift to Mr Bell, a head teacher who witnessed the famous flight.
