World War II U S Navy Hydrographic Office Rude Star Finder and Identifier, 1942

This is a really interesting war time relic.

Published by the U.S. Navy Hydrographic Office in March 1942, the device is designed especially for use of aircraft. This model is a A-N Type 1 edition, with a two sided star chart and seven latitude disc charts, in its original leather satchel, together with instruction sheet.

Rare, collectible find, G condition, charts and discs very tidy, leather satchel scuffed and marked by sound.
