The ISM (Intelligent Servo Module) is the small “robot" mounted to the 722.9 transmission that physically selects the gears based on the selector lever input. These units are well-known for internal failures, corrosion, or communication faults — often leaving the vehicle stuck in Park or unable to select gears.
