Blue Cod Fillets Frozen

EATING Blue Cod is considered a South Island delicacy. Our Southland Blue Cod is layer-packed and blast frozen. It's skinless, boneless and packed in a handy 2kg box that easily fits in the freezer, or a larger 5kg carton. Blue Cod has a mild flavour, and a thick flaky fillet that falls apart easily when cooked. It's suitable for most cooking methods. Bring fish up to room temperature (just like meat) before cooking for best results.
STORING Store our frozen Blue Cod in the freezer until you're ready to use it. It's best defrosted in the fridge. If you're short on time, pop fillets into a sealed bag and submerge in water that's a bit cooler than room temperature. Change the water every 20-30 minutes and weight the fish down so it's fully submerged in the water (not bobbing about).

AVERAGE WEIGHT 115-175g per fillet in our 2kg box, 225g per fillet in our 5kg box.
