2024, Domaine Henri Magnien, ALOXE-CORTON, 1er Cru, 'La Coutière'

From a.76 ha parcel of 50 year old vines
Cool red berry aromas laced with hints of forest floor and humus-tinged earth. There is again a lovely texture to the slightly denser flavours that tighten up on the youthfully austere, firm and lingering finale. This could use better depth so a few years of aging is suggested.
89-91 Burghound
Mid crimson purple. A little more depth of savoury red fruit on the nose, no great concentration, but coherent across the palate to a medium long finish.
