2021, Domaine Henri Magnien, CORTON, 'Les Lolieres', Grand Cru

The 2021 Corton Les Grandes Lolières Grand Cru, matured in two-thirds new oak, has a lovely, open-knit and expressive bouquet with fragrant red berry fruit, wild hedgrerow and rose petal scents - very seductive and more Côte de Nuits in style. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins. Fresh and vibrant, the oak is neatly integrated with a slightly candied finish. Perhaps a little more "modern" in style, yet this is, undeniably, deftly crafted. 91-93 Neal Martin, Vinous.
