Craigellachie 17 years old 46%

Craigellachie is one of the few distilleries in Scotland that still uses Wormtub condensers, resulting in a heavier and more 'weighty' spirit. The 17 year old is initially matured in a combination of ex Bourbon and Sherry casks, before being re racked into a parcel of first fill Bourbon and Sherry casks. There are notes of fresh vanilla, dried fruits and toasted oak, with hints of pineapple and liqurice root
