Filled from a single cask from Dailuaine distillery in Speyside, this brand-new bottling from the Single Malts of Scotland range shows off the distillery's waxy, malty character. The aroma opens with notes of sherry-soaked fruits, spiced plum compote and roasted barley, moving to a dense and textured mouthfeel. Toasted and ground spices and walnut cake come through in the finish, with chocolate and orange bitters lingering.
