Dalmunach 'Thompson Bros' 2016 / 8 years old 49.1%

This expression from Thompson Bros was distilled in the second year of production at Dalmunach Distillery, situated on the sight of the long demolished Imperial distillery. The oldest expression from Dalmunach we have seen to date, and bottled straight from a single ex Bourbon Cask, this bottling shows off great spirit character. The nose opens up bright and fruity, with white grapes, fresh strawberries and melon with hints of brine. There is a creamy and oily mouthfeel on the palate with notes of creamy porridge drizzled with honey, cracked black pepper and lemon zest. Lingering with crisp green apples and 'the last spoonfull of milky porridge.
