Fine Tennessee Whiskey 'Thompson Bros' 2007 / 11 years old 51.2%

A rare example of American Whiskey bottled by the Scots. Aged for eleven years in new oak barrels, it was in the words of the Thompson Bros, "rescued from a vat of 2007 bourbon, we were totally enamoured with the quality of this liquid and had to get it into glass". The nose opens up with salted caramel sauce, green eucalyptus, cedarwood, tangy bbq sauce and honey roasted gammon. The green notes continue on the palate, followed by juicy black cherries, apple crumble filling, molasses and hints of cracked pepper.
