Aged for 14 years in an ex-refill Oloroso sherry hogshead, this Benrinnes offers aromas of olive-studded focaccia and sea-salt dark chocolate, with notes of blackcurrant, red grape, freshly cut pine, and a hint of gooseberry. Showing its age well, it offers up a rich flavour of ripe and dried figs, rustic cured meat and a touch of cassoulet - savoury and sweet in equal measure.
